As is the case with many of these recordings, very little information exists about the band or the record itself. But that is precisely the point of BCR and the core mission of this page. Enjoy it—or don't. In the end, it doesn't matter much at all. It is the unexplainable moments that you will remember the most.
This is Disciplina Zero, the September 2011 debut album by T.F.V. (originally short for Time For Vomit). An underground melodic hardcore punk band straight out of Reggio Emilia, Italy, it turns out these unexplainable moments sometimes leave a paper trail. Ciao.
The Background on T.F.V.
Formed in 2008, the group drew heavy inspiration from classic 90s American skate punk and melodic hardcore icons like NOFX, Pennywise, Blink-182, and the Descendents. Originally a four-piece outfit, their lead singer Alex left the group in 2010. The remaining members pushed forward as a power trio—consisting of brothers Johnny (guitar/vocals) and Jimmy (bass/vocals) alongside Gara (drums)—to record and release Disciplina Zero the following year.
While their music is incredibly fast and energetic, their lyrics perfectly alternate between deep irony and heavy social themes, touching on emotional disconnection, family struggles, and the stark realities of modern life. Despite remaining deeply underground, they have stayed remarkably active over the years. They've shared festival stages with legendary hardcore acts like H2O and Raw Power, dropped their follow-up EP Neuro Esplosione in 2015, and continue to release fierce tracks like "Offline" and "Vita Punk."
You can get a taste of their energetic, DIY melodic hardcore style in their official music video for "Corruzione" hosted on BlankTV, or just click play below.
